The Scientific Committee on Solar Terrestrial Physics (SCOSTEP) is an international organization with the goal of strengthening and promoting international solar-terrestrial physics research. As of 2016 Switzerland is a member of SCOSTEP and a National Committee has been established with the goal of promoting and representing the solar-terrestrial community within Switzerland and internationally.more

Swiss SCOSTEP PhD presentation award

In 2024, the Swiss SCOSTEP PhD presentation award was established. The award recognizes the best presentation by a PhD student at the national SCOSTEP meeting. It consists of a travel grant that can be used in the following year to present the research to a wider audience at an international conference.

All presentations by PhD students (if the students agree) are ranked by multiple judges based on well-defined criteria on the content and style of the presentation. The aim is to create an as fair and as unbiased ranking as possible.
